I want you to know that, once again, the food that I drove from Topanga Canyon to Studio City on Friday, the 16th, was among some of the best of the best. I wasn't quite prepared for the response - even though I had such an amazing one last time! THEY WENT WILD! One guy, of course, wouldn't you know it, said he lived in Topanga and was going to the TPA meeting there that night... another woman said she has been there numerous times and is very fond of the patio... and more importantly, more people were exposed to the MEXICAN SOUL FOOD for their first time... and they vowed that they would seek you out and FIND YOU!

I look forward to hearing from you soon and, again, thank you so very much. You guys are amazing!!!!

A hip and eclectic two story restaurant with character found in Topanga
Canyon! Besides a really comfortable and cozy place to sit down for a
nicely prepared Mexican dinner that will tame any appetite, it's staff
are real people with a pulse. You get what seemed to me a Topanga
local... named Mike. Mike, as well as others who work there really enjoy
the job of feeding the locals and tourists alike. The attention to detail
is pretty damn good. I couldn't remember all those orders without a
notepad, but it is done with speed and care the first time. When my wife
and I want to drive up from PCH, it's always a fun experience. The local
bands that play there make a cool local hangout where everyone gets
along... guess it is like the old hippie days in that regard.

I just wanted to tell you what a fantastic experience we had there this last Saturday night. We had a party of 20 women out on your patio and we all had such a wonderful time. The food was absolutely delicious! And best of all was Jared! He was the most perfect waiter ever. He was always right there when we needed him and always with a smile. The rest of the staff were great and even made a fun thing out of removing the drunk cowboy ; ).

I was greeted immediately and my waiter was very attentive. Aside from great service, the manager Manuel, whom I later spoke with briefly, walked around to all the tables to ensure all his customers were happy. Outside there is a patio which I highly recommend for brunch on Sundays. I have gone back several times and recommend the Abuelita's Special or the Pasta a la Diabla. Last Friday there was a band and I found out that the restaurant has a band every Friday. My husband and I loved it so much we are actually planning to have out anniversary party there next month. We were seated outside on the deck over a creek and under a canopy of leaves. As the sky dimmed and the outside of the cottage style restaurant lit up in Christmas lights, we gorged on tortilla chips and the best guacamole I've had in a long time.
